Nestled in the stunning landscapes of Tennessee, Sara and Hayes said “I do” with a vibrant summer wedding full of energy and color on Cherokee Dock’s Lakeside Lawn.
Sarah, from Texas, and Hayes, from Tennessee, first met while working at Pine Cove Ranch’s Christian camps in Texas during a summer in college. Over the next two years, their friendship led to romance and eventually a surprise proposal on the shores of Grapevine Lake. Hayes set everything up so their families could be in attendance. How sweet!
For their wedding day, Sara said she wanted a venue “somewhere beautiful, timeless, and very Tennessee feeling,” and the Estate fit the mold, providing perfect natural beauty for her rainbow color palette and romantic yet organic ambiance.
Sara stunned in a sleek strapless gown with full-length sheer bridal gloves and a long veil, carrying a bright and colorful bridal bouquet with cascading blooms and a touch of whimsy. Her bridesmaids embraced the rainbow theme, each wearing a different color in mismatched dresses, with all-white bouquets. And of course, Hayes looked dapper in a classic tuxedo with a vibrant boutonniere that matched the day’s floral arrangements, while his groomsmen wore suits to match with white pocket squares.
Lakeside Lawn, adorned with vivid blooms at the altar, set the stage for their heartfelt vows against the tranquil backdrop of the water. Guests were seated with a custom hand fan to cool off during the August heat, and each was printed with the wedding program.
As Sara walked down the aisle in her elegant gown, Hayes' eyes were full of admiration. Their love filled the air, palpable and infectious, as they exchanged promises for a lifetime together in front of their dearest friends and family.
Cocktail hour was held on the Lakeview Event Center’s patio, which was decorated with string lights, a rattan divider as a seating chart sign, and colorful, whimsical floral arrangements. Guests were treated to two signature drinks– a classic whiskey sour and a spice pineapple margarita.
The celebration continued into the evening for their indoor reception, where the event center took on an organic ambiance. Wooden tables were adorned with simple yet tasteful centerpieces with vibrant flowers in bud vases, complementing the natural beauty of the venue, with sage green napkins. Each place setting also had a custom printed menu with the night’s dinner, as well as a personal thank you from Sara and Hayes. Strings of lights hung from the ceiling, adding a touch of whimsy and casting a warm glow over the space.
As the night progressed, Sara and Hayes shared their first dance to “L-O-V-E” by Nat King Cole, an homage to her favorite childhood movie, The Parent Trap. Then laughter and joy filled the air as guests danced the night way. It was a celebration of love, friendship, and new beginnings!
After sending off the newlyweds with silver streamers and bubble guns, guests took home mini hot sauce bottles to remember the evening by.
