Emily and Sunny’s Multicultural Wedding Weekend

Emily and Sunny's autumn wedding weekend at Cherokee Dock was beautiful from start to finish, featuring spectacular multicultural celebrations. They had a traditional American ceremony full of greenery and pastel florals under our Willow Oak Canopy with a glowing reception on our Sunset Terrace, followed by a vibrant Hindu ceremony the next day in our Lakeview Event Center. 

The Willow Oak Canopy is a stunning spot for ceremonies year round but especially in the fall. Emily and Sunny said their "I dos" as light filtered through the golden leaves around them. Their florist, T.Villager Designs, created the perfect backdrop to their wedding ceremony with an asymmetric open arch of greenery and pastel florals. 

The tented reception that followed on our Sunset Terrace was extraordinary and vibrant. The space was covered with soft white draping, string lights, and greenery from floor to ceiling. Pops of pink were placed throughout the florals, linens, and napkins, all complete with gold details and Chiavari chairs. The night was filled with dancing and celebration!

The following day, Emily and Sunny celebrated his culture with a Hindu ceremony in our Lakeview Event Center. The couple wore traditional Hindu garments with a wedding party dressed in coordinating soft gold and lavender outfits.

When it was time for the ceremony to begin, guests were greeted at the entrance with a large, gold statue of Ganesha, surrounded by floating candles and bright blooms in shades of pink. Inside, the walls were lit with a custom gobo design that filled the space and, in the center, was a red carpet that led to the most stunning mandap featuring spectacularly bright colors, gold details, soft draping, and a chandelier at the center. 

Emily and Sunny lit up Cherokee Dock for a weekend-long celebration of their marriage, each celebration beautifully its own but perfectly complementing the other. Scroll down to see it all!
