McKenna and Tres celebrated their summer wedding at the picturesque Estate at Cherokee Dock. With the help of Infinity Hospitality, their day was designed with an elevated traditional aesthetic in timeless whites and neutrals. French country charm and pops of serene French blue added delightful accents throughout.
With meticulous attention to detail, each area of the property reflected McKenna and Tres' personal style to create a cohesive and impactful statement that truly captured their love story. Their thoughtful utilization of the property made their wedding day that much more special— from the rehearsal dinner to the farewell brunch, every moment flowed seamlessly through the picturesque surroundings, creating an immersive experience for all.
Their journey began in college, where McKenna and Tres first crossed paths as apartment neighbors. It was Tres’ twin brother who orchestrated it all, setting the stage for a love story that would blossom over time. Tres eventually popped the question with a surprise setup at the Parthenon in Centennial Park, followed by an intimate dinner full of family and friends.
Flash forward to the summer of 2023 when their wedding day finally arrived. Before the ceremony, McKenna and Tres were surrounded by their loved ones in the Carriage House Stables, awaiting their ceremony entrance due to unexpected rain. Despite the weather outside, the anticipation and excitement filled the air, creating a palpable sense of pure joy and love as they got to spend a special few moments with just their nearest and dearest.
McKenna was dressed in a strapless gown with ruching details across the bodice with a large white bow in the back. Her bridal party wore soft French blue dresses in various styles, matching the pops of blue flowers in their bouquets. Tres wore a classic black tuxedo, as did his groomsmen, to finish off the timeless wedding style.
Their ceremony was set on the Sunset Terrace. The attention to detail shone through every aspect of the celebration and decor. As guests arrived, they were greeted by a bright white beverage cart, offering cold water to sip on for relief from the summer heat. And against a backdrop of lush greenery walls adorned with cascading white florals, with elegant gold lantern chandeliers wrapped in greenery above, McKenna and Tres exchanged vows surrounded by their loved ones.
After saying their “I dos,” McKenna and Tres savored a private moment in the reception space for a room reveal and intimate cake cutting. It was a poignant moment as they saw the beauty of their design vision come to life.
The reception in the Lakeview Event Center was set with romantic drapery, a variety of table styles and seating arrangements, a mix of white and French country blue linens, a custom dance floor, and white floral centerpieces in blue Chinoiserie vases. Outside, the covered patio was set up with a round white bar, photo booth greenery wall, and grand chandeliers to extend the celebration into the summer air.
For one of their personalized touches, McKenna and Tres had a crest created for their wedding that was incorporated throughout the small details of the day. You could find it on the drink stirrers, their signage, projected on the outdoor patio wall, the traditional four-tiered wedding cake, and custom late-night pizza boxes.
Amid the hustle and bustle of the reception, the newlyweds slipped away to the mansion for a private meal. It was a precious moment for the newlyweds to savor their first meal together as husband and wife!
And as the day drew to a close, guests gathered to bid farewell to the happy couple in front of the mansion down its grand drive. McKenna and Tres embarked on their new journey, driving off in a vintage red getaway car—a fitting end to a magical day!
Their wedding at The Estate at Cherokee Dock was a celebration of love, French charm, and thoughtful design.
